Maybe, this explains why there are a lot of Savage motorcycles with BLUE exhaust pipes. That, just might be, from late burning high octane fuel.
I actually use PLUS, but Regular runs fine too. The reason that I went to PLUS is to insure good mileage. I get 55 to 60 mph. BTW: my exhaust pipe was shinny chrome until some recent full throttle driving, that induced just a slight (very light) bronze to the engine crook and under the shield by the muffler joint.
I would like to take this opportunity to express apology for some of my biased statements of lately. I did some thinking and then realized that I am talking to people from all parts of the world. The vast difference in locality will definitely change my views.
1) Not every one drives at High altitude 6,000 to 9,000 ft. above sea level.
2) Not every one has ten mile mountain climbs,
3) Not every one has high posted speed limits.
4) Not every one is governed by licensing restriction, on horse power and or engine size
5) Not every one has American sales directives and motorcycle model designations.
6) And like Peter the Black Smith pointed out; not every one has a short penis!
